Passing by

 

 

He watched her like he always did in the mornings. It was funny really. His ambulance car always passed her in the mornings and she never noticed. The passing itself was brief. While Eddy was driving, he could relax and look out of the window. Sometimes he wondered if it was fate that his morning rout collided with hers. It did seem that way.

 

And whenever he was near the ISIS entrance or near her usual café he would look out the window, scan through the crowd and detect her. He could pick her out of a large crowd, and he would memorize what she was wearing, how she was walking and if she had anything in her hands.

 

Sometimes she would speak into her cell phone and laugh, and sometimes she would skim through an article while walking, a feat he always admired about her.

 

But most of the times that he watched her while passing by; he wished it was him that she would speak to over her cell. That she would smile back at him, or even that she would only raise her head when ever an ambulance would drive past her.

 

But she never did. And he would always return his gaze back to the street ahead of him, and try to resolve not to look again, the next time he passed. It wouldn’t do, she was after all already with someone else.

 

But it was never that easy for him, when it concerned her. No not her. Chloe Sullivan was oblivious to his feelings, but that didn’t make them less real or less hurting. He only hoped that one day she would look up while they passed her in the morning and that she would see him. Really see him.

 

Role reserved much? I always thought it was so unfair for Chloe to have a one-sided crush on Clark. Well, now someone else has one on her… Besides I was already smitten with Davis the first seconds of his first scene in the series… What a hunk!!!
