Summary: Chloe realize that her life must change after her encounter with Zatana .


Her short blond hair blow with the wind, she was walking Metropolis streets letting the new feeling of freedom inside of her, she decided this morning that she wasn't going to stand still. On her birthday Chloe Sullivan realized that she was meant to be journalist, it was in her blood and in her entire been.

So that's why later that same morning she got dressed as fast as she could and went to Met U, she talked with some of the authorities of the university and with her power of persuasion back in track she made it, she was going back to school to finished what she started: to be a reporter.

She stopped in her tracks when she realized that her walking leaved her to a place her heart had never been able to let go, the Daily Planet. Watching the opponent building she wondered how the hell she let others rule her life: Lois, Lex, Lana, Oliver and Clark.

She entered the building that held so much of her and walked around until she found her old desk. Her gaze never leaving it, she felt then someone looking at her. The blond spun around and looked at her best friend Clark looking at her with curiosity in his eyes "Chloe,What are you doing here?" she blinked at him not quite hearing what he was asking then shrugged "i was just walking by and decided to see how you were" Clark nodded at her his big hand resting now on her old desk and replied  "This doesn't have anything to do with your birthday wish, doesn't it?"  his gaze told her that he knew that there was something more.

"Maybe it does" Chloe replied she was planing to tell  Clark when she was ready but looking at Clark right now his posture and demeanor, made her realize that he wasn't going to let it go until she spill the beans, the little blond sighed and decided that it was now or never "I went to Met U. I...I decided to restart my classes. I'm going back to school".

The silence reigned between the both of them but Chloe needed to explain herself "Look Clark maybe when Lex fired me i lost my north, i got depressed and i didn't know where i belong but know i do. It's not because i want Lois's life. I just... I want to feel me again and for the first time I'm start..." His hand caught hers. His eyes soft full of affection and something more she couldn't figure it out  "Chlo... I'm glad. I's hoping for you to realize it" he sighed and squeezed her hand a little tight without hurting her and her heart beat as always sped up for him.

 "I'm thinking to going back too. I've been for a while" Her eyes widened at Clark's revelation "Yo do?" His tall figure shifted a little but nodded "I know that I've been walking in circles since dad died, but... as much as i know that. I also knew I needed to heal, something in me was telling me that it's my duty to go back to school for my dad, for my mom and most of all for me"

Chloe looked in his eyes and found herself in it, and realized that they were finding their road again and as always, they did it together, she gave him a tiny smile and he smiled back "Clark I'm glad, i really am" He then hugged her and buried his face in her hair and whispered "Me too, maybe whenever you less expect it you'll go back to the Planet".

She frowned into his chest and he felt her hesitation, he asked softly "What's wrong?" Chloe sighed and said "I don't know if that's going to happen, Clark I..." he hugged her tighter "Chlo stop it. You'll" she lifted her head to look at his deep blue eyes "How do you know?" He shrugged "I just know you Chloe, and now that you realized where you belong, you're not going to give up. You and I belong here, i can feel it"

Chloe for the first time broke in a big smile, the smile he had loved so much. Clark knew for a long time now how he felt, but he also knew right now wasn't the time. Neither of them were ready to start something more than friendship. Chloe rubbed her nose against his chest and breathed his scent as if trying to memorize him. She was the one that broke from their hug. They smiled to each other again and Chloe said "Well, i have to go. I need to run some errands for my new semester" "You do that, the Planet is here waiting for you Chlo" Clark replied.

Chloe turned around and got out of the building feeling a sense of peace and lightness, she sighed, she was going back to school, to learn and to be the reporter she always wanted to be. Maybe right now she wasn't ready to the Planet but she will be, she sure will.

At the Planet, Clark got back to his desk and started to work on an article feeling happy really happy because his life and Chloe's life where getting back in track and side by side. It felt right, it felt meant to be.
